The hermetically sealed packets are entitled “Endangered Species Condoms” and the six variations are now being distributed to bars, concerts, universities, spiritual groups (churches?), local events and farmers markets.
“Human overpopulation is the driving force behind the current mass-extinction crisis (due to Global Warming), endangering a large percentage of mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians and fish.” Really?

With appropriate use of the products inside the beautifully decorated packages, 350 species of “endangered” animals and plants, including the Arctic Polar Bear will be saved from horrible deaths due to the evil fertility of mankind.
The worst offender on the planet (not counting China and India of course) is the United States with a whopping 2.1 children per woman---well above the developed world average of 1.6. For organizations like the COBD, the plan of action is to ignore the East Anglia Climate-Gate fiasco which exposed the massive “Global Warming” scam and continue marching, eyes-front, enthusiastically spouting packets of ½ truths about mankind releasing too much Co2 into the air, causing catastrophic world events. The condom campaign was launched this week by announcing the distribution of 350,000 “Endangered Species Condoms” in all 50 of the United States.

There are 6 different condom package designs, each depicting an animal at risk. Each package contains 2 condoms, snappy sex slogan (“Wrap With Care…Save the Polar Bear” and “Use a Stopper…Save the Hopper”), original artwork, information about the species, “facts” about overpopulation, and the “extinction crisis”, with suggestions on how the human population can be stabilized.
Ironically, the first condom featured on the COBD website is the Polar Bear condom, the very animal about which our old friend Al Gore received so much attention after he was publicly corrected as to the false ice-melting-polar bears-dying-doomsday-scenario depicted in his film, “An Inconvenient Truth” Mr. Gore did not seem all that happy for the Polar Bears when a new “inconvenient truth” emerged that the big white cuddly carnivores were actually in no danger and in fact some evidence suggests that they are overpopulated in some areas.
Perpetuating the Polar Bear extinction myth, a heart wrenching photo showing a group of Polar Bears barely hanging on to a little piece of melting ice floating out in the Artic ocean was printed in major newspapers and was seen by millions of bear loving citizens around the world as irrefutable evidence that Global Warming was killing them, as sure as Al Gore invented the internet. There’s even some unexpected good news for Arctic Polar Bears released this week, as the National Snow and Ice Data Center (NSIDC) stated that “for the first time since 2001, Arctic Sea ice will hit the “normal” line if trends continue for the next few days”. “Instead of ice extent declining through March like it usually does, it continued to increase through the month and is now at the high (so far) for the year.”

The amount of ice on the opposite end of the planet has been plentiful for a number of years; “Sea ice extent in the Antarctic has been unusually high in recent years, both in summer and winter”. This will make Al Gore and a lot of Penguins very happy.

B.B.O. (Before Barack Obama), most of us were asleep; never imagining how half baked, nutty theories about man made Global Warming, Greenhouse gases like Co2 and Methane (cow farts) or Polar Bears at the North Pole could ever directly affect us. We’ve been lazy, indifferent and spoiled; so much so that we’ve allowed greedy scientists and politicians from both parties to herd us down a road that has already begun to destroy some of the freedoms that our forefathers would never have believed possible.
Thankfully, the newest administration has tipped its hand and we are catching a glimpse of how close we’re coming to losing more freedoms that we’ve always taken for granted. The loss of liberties has been incremental---we are the frog in the proverbial pot of water, failing to notice we are boiling until it’s too late. We now more fully understand why our Liberal friends changed their name to “Progressives”. We are progressively being boiled in the pot of frog water. We are becoming a “Nanny” state, where the Federal Government decides what’s best for its citizens.
The Progressives not only like the Nanny state idea but they want to be the ones who do the deciding---many times however, what they decide for you is not good enough for them (ie; Medical Insurance). The COBD is now only “suggesting” that we reduce our procreation and reduce our greenhouse gases but we see the weighted truncheons of the EPA, Homeland Security, IRS, etc. being taken up by the man we thought we knew. We believed in him for awhile; his beautiful speeches and exalted prose were inspiring but now we feel the restraints to our freedoms tightening like the coils of a Python, slowly squeezing the air from our lungs. There are more serpents peeking out from under their dark, safe rocks, emboldened by one sided political success.
More of these basilisks than we realized were masquerading as part of our own, so the saving of ourselves will be that much more difficult. Our eyes can no longer remain closed to the (insert appropriate descriptor here) Europeanization, Socialization, Obam-i-ti-zation, etc. of this country. Judge our leaders by my mother’s methods; “Watch what they do, not what they say” and “Judge a Man by the Company He Keeps” This reevaluation process not only applies to Presidents and candidates of both political species but also, to all those who you thought were fighting for your cause.
We recognize that our precarious situation has developed under many leaders for many years and we have only ourselves to blame. So let the battles commence. Prioritize the to-do list---*Don’t sit down and just shut up! *Vote them all out! *Demand Accountability, *WWRD?--“Trust but Verify”, *Do not reward weak politicians with your vote *No matter what they say; no matter what speeches they make, check their voting record! *Don’t be fooled by those who use their religion to prove their worthiness, *Elect political WARRIORS, because in order for the People to fix what’s broken in the U.S., it will take courage and conviction beyond what most currently elected servants possess.
Then, when the pendulum has swung back towards Constitution and Political Sanity we will find a wise, experienced Sea Captain who will carefully manage the tiller, preventing the Ship of State from veering too far to either starboard or port, where equally rocky shoals wait to dash us against the beach again. *
